DG Cities Limited is an urban innovation company which specialises in the integration of ‘smart city’ technologies and approaches to maximise their benefits for cities and optimise the use of resources, infrastructure and services. We have particular expertise in ‘smart mobility’ such as Mobility as a Service, e-Mobility and Connected and Autonomous Vehicles.
We are currently delivering some of the UK’s most exciting innovation projects including the Smart Mobility Living Lab: London - a new national testbed for future transport technologies, services and business models and Endeavour - Europe’s largest pilot of self driven passenger services.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and forward-thinking electronics or telecoms engineering graduate to play a key role in designing, commissioning and deploying new digital infrastructure. You will need to be able to apply your capabilities and knowledge to a range of urban infrastructure types including digital communication networks, connected and autonomous vehicles and IOT devices. In particular, you will support work to deploy connectivity infrastructure and roadside communication devices to support vehicle-based devices, sensors, V2V and V2X communications for the Smart Mobility Living Lab: London. You will also contribute to the delivery of the Borough’s Digital Connectivity Strategy - a programme of work to radically improve digital connectivity across the Borough for residents and businesses.
You will work as part of a truly multidisciplinary team and will work with colleagues to deliver projects and answer research questions in a collaborative and innovative manner. As a member of DG Cities you will also need to have an interest in cities and their development, and be passionate about delivering city transformation.
