DG Cities Limited is an urban innovation company which specialises in the integration of ‘smart city’ technologies and approaches to maximise their benefits for cities and optimise the use of resources, infrastructure and services. We have particular expertise in ‘smart mobility’ such as Mobility as a Service, e-Mobility and Connected and Autonomous Vehicles.
We are currently delivering a wide range of exciting projects including autonomous and electric vehicle trials and the Smart Mobility Living Lab: London - a new national testbed for future transport technologies, services and business models. With a new project starting called Apollo 21 we are looking for a Project Officer to support us in delivering these challenging projects.
In this role you will work on behalf of DG Cities to deliver against the requirements of the company’s research and consultancy projects. You will be part of a truly multidisciplinary team and will work with colleagues to deliver projects and answer research questions in a collaborative and innovative manner. Your work may be required on many projects in our portfolio; giving true variety to your work.
As a member of DG Cities, you will need to have an interest in cities and their development. Your precise responsibilities will depend on the project you are engaged on and the type of work coming into the business. However, you are likely to contribute to the following work areas:
Supporting mobility research including trials, simulations and modelling.
The gathering and analysis of data and information to support business cases and to enable the evaluation of the benefits of smart city projects.
Community engagement activities.
The development of new smart city project proposals including funding bids.
This is a fixed term post for a period of 12 months.
