Hello!

Exciting news - we’re currently looking for a new Project Officer to join our team! The short term requirement would be for someone to join us to work within research and community engagement to support the development of a simulation model for Connected Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) testing and input into research related to Smart Mobility Living Lab : London. We are therefore looking for someone comfortable with research and report writing.

Project Officer Job Description

DG Cities is currently delivering a wide range of exciting projects including autonomous and electric vehicle trials, digital connectivity and urban design. It has both public and private sector clients and undertakes work in the UK and beyond. With new projects starting we are looking for a Project Officer to support us in delivering these challenging projects.

In this role you will work on behalf of DG Cities to deliver against the requirements of the company’s research projects. You will be part of a truly multidisciplinary team and will work with colleagues to deliver projects and answer research questions in a collaborative and innovative manner. Your work may be required on many projects in our portfolio; giving true variety to your work.

As a member of DG Cities, you will need to have an interest in cities and their development. Your precise responsibilities will depend on the project you are engaged on and the type of work coming into the business. However, you are likely to contribute to the following work areas:

● The gathering and analysis of data and information to support business cases.

● Supporting mobility research including trials, simulations and modelling.

● Desk-based research and for urban design and sustainability projects.

● Community engagement activities

● Developing new smart city project proposals including funding bids.

This is a fixed term post for a period of six months.
