Mobility Assessment
Framework

Implementing new mobility services into a local area in a cohesive and complementary way can be a hugely challenging task. How can you ensure that implementing new services align with your broader strategies around congestion, net zero and active travel? Or assess different service provider offerings in an objective and auditable fashion?

That’s why we created the Mobility Assessment Framework (MAF). Developed as part of the Innovate UK funded Project Endeavour, this strategic tool has been designed to help those making decisions about the implementation of local mobility services. It’s applications are wide, and it is particularly valuable for stakeholders such as transport and planning authorities, and mobility service operators. Our unique framework assesses transport modes, and different service offerings, against a set of economic, environment and social variables.

MAF has been built to be fully flexible, allowing new modes - such as autonomous vehicle ride sharing or e-bike services - to be incorporated into the matrix as they become viable offers and choices for users. Our goal? To empower cities to make the right decisions about mobility solutions.
